My first Decent Size EarthQuake

Been living in San Diego for over a year now and last night felt a pretty decent size earthquake.(5.1 on the scale) It happend late and my whole building shook. At first I thought a car or truck ran into the building but after about 5 seconds felt it again. It did make me jump up and say what the fuck was that ----I look out my window to see if anything hit us but then realized it was an Earthquake. Although I do feel tremors from time to time around here this was my first real quake----It is a pretty uneasy feeling but then again I'm sure so of you out there get used to these things.

Holy Shit B--

I think that would freak me out--

The whole idea of the streets splitting open is scary to me..

Glad you guys are well--

No it was just a pretty small one----But for someone who has really never felt anything over a 3.0 it did wake me up and say what the fuck was that. It was a full moon last night and tonight and some say that full moons have an effect on earthquakes(has something to do with the oceans waves and gravitational pull)

Wombat,

When I lived in San Diego, I was always paranoid about being on the Coronado Bridge during an earthquake :worried: :worried:

I was in SF in 89 for the "big one" never freakin again. Flexed don't like it when the ground moves and he does not know when it may stop unless of course the ground moving is being caused by me.;)

We had a major earthquake over here in the northeast when Eddie, my 300lb co-worker took a massive BM in the bathroom after a trip to Arby's. The office engineer has deemed the mens bathroom to be a disaster area, and refugees have been sent to the 2nd or 4th floor bathrooms.

I was half-asleep when this hit and my heart still fell out of my chest----I couldn't imagine the 89 quake---

7.1 I was working downtown at the time. there where cars and buses left abanded. it was the most Erie thing I have ever seen. the street where cracked. I had no communication with the outside for a few days as I stayed at work to help out. My 8 year ex was stuck in a building and we did not speak to each other for a few days as he had no idea where I was nor me him. something I will never forget

That was just a baby quake! But if you have never felt one that big before it would get your attention for sure!
