My blood pressure

High-Jacked

New member
This is only an observation, but for the past 2 years or so I have been taking 1 Ripped Fuel capsule pre-workout for energy. When I began my cycle 6 weeks ago I switched to the Ephedra-Free Ripped Fuel which I found is actually just as bad because it contains "Bitter-Orange extract" or synephrine which is harsh on the heart. I would constantly check my blood pressure and it would be about 138/88 pulse of 72, never lower and sometimes higher with systolic pressure in the 140's. I am only 21 so that seemed a bit high, I attributed it to the test / eq cycle I am on. So I decided for my hearts sake to stop taking a Ripped Fuel al together, just coffe black pre-workout and low and behold, my blood pressure fell to an average of 115/72 pulse of 70! I take my BP normally about 2 hours after I workout all the time, and I usually sit and relax for a bit before taking it, so those numbers are accurate. It has remained this low for the past 2 weeks or so, about the same amount of time I have been not using the stimulant. That is the ONLY significant change I have made.

damn, you're lucky to have a BP of 115/72 and HR 70. My usual BP on a cycle is around 150/80's HR varies between 80-120.

but that is a good observation to have in between two stimulant supplements!

I am hoping my BP stays this low, since high BP runs in the family.

My main point was that cutting out the Ripped Fuel entirely seemed to have lower my BP, not switching from "Regular" to "Ephedra-Free".

Although I was reading about how some of the Ephedra Free thermogenics are actually as harmful as the Ephedra based produt, because the manufacture makes a big mix of herbs that when combined can be hazardous.

It seems to have helped me out a bit, the only other factor that I was thinking could have effected my BP was that I began taking around 3 grams of Garlic supplement daily. But I don't feel as though the garlic lowered my BP.

While taking the Ephedra-Free Ripped Fuel "on" cycle, I would get back from the and lay on my couch and my heart would feel like it was beating out of my chest, now I notice less of that..???..?

Yeah, my BP is usually in the 130s; when I got it taken today it was in the 160s...Sorry that this wasn't too helpful, but I just wanted to say that I know that feeling when you get a different BP then u thought...

High-Jacked...you did a smart move. With a family history of hypertension, then you need to do everything possible to eliminate things that could elevate your BP.

I'm in the same boat...

Last week I got a nasty infection (while I was on ephedra free supp). The Dr checked my BP and I was 140/100 :( ...Note: The week before I was 130/90...During the whole week I was 140/100 and still taking E free stims. I got off and checked my BP on Friday (still on antibiotics), and was at 122/82. Much better...I'm staying off of stims this week besides a little GT/ALCAR/R+ and will start a UCP-1 cycle next Monday. My antibiotics will finish on Thursday and I'll give myself a little extra time to recoup before I start up my ALA/R+/milk thistle/UCP-1 stack for 2 weeks

So, yes, I concur that my BP was attributed to the EFX as well as you :(

Caffeine, synephrine, AAS will all affect your blood pressure, not to mention countless other substances. It is definitely a smart move to cut them out if you see you BP is extremely elevated. Some people are really sensitive to ephedra, etc. I take it all the time when I want a really intense workout. But I know of few of my bros who can't because they fell like their heart is about to explode. Different chemicals affect people in different ways so it is best to take what is right for your body.
