Seems like newbies and young guys are getting the wrong advice on Elite and other boards.
The truth is starting juice when you are weak and small is the worst possible thing you can do if you want to be large.
I started lifting when I was a fat 180lbs at 5'9, I was lucky because I was a fast learner, whithin a couple of months I knew what I was doing. It was mainly because I would read every Flex magazine I could get my hands on, cover to cover 3-4 times.
I didn't know shit about juice and I didn't care, I just loved training. In fact, the first magazine I bought was a muscle mag international. They had an article on how to get steroids, different stacks, I was so disgusted I threw it away. All I wanted to learn was exercise form. I didn't care about supplements, I was very cynical by nature and all I ended up buying was protein powder. I would only use it post workout.
Bodybuilding was hard because my father thought any man who spends that much time improving his looks had to be a closet homosexual. I use to hide my protein powder in my room and I made sure I was doing cardio when they picked me up from the gym. I would eat what my mother made and I would stuff as much foods as I could when they weren't looking. I'd boil eggs when they were still at work and hide them in the fridge.
At the gym I was an animal. All the older guys would give me a tap on the shoulder when I came in. My training was brutal, so brutal that I seperated my shoulder one time and still finished my workout. I couldn't move it for 3 days and I didn't tell my parents or anyone. My mother wanted me to move the BBQ to the garage and I did it. That 5 min job took me an hour but I did it because nobody was going to stop me from getting huge.
Anyway after some time I was 195lbs ripped. Completely natural. People thought I was juicing. They were sure I was a juicer. I had a 100 lb incline dumbell press, and a 245lbs incline bench press for 4 reps. I had a 4 plate deadlift for 3 reps and 235lbs on barbell rows for 5-6 reps.
What was my point again? Oh yes, to get to that level naturally I had to know what I was doing. I never thought of stacks, bridging...I would analyse my diet and training. I would ask myself what can I do differently to shock my body into new growth? Not what drug can I add to get some more lbs of muscle?
Okay, I'll get to the bottom line:
If you start juicing before you have any kind of success as a natural you will not get the same results as someone who waits.
You will be using much more gear and getting minimal results.
You are more likely to lose more gains post cycle because you don't know how to diet and/or train. You will be repeating the same mistakes that held you back as a natural.
You will be relying on drugs for gains and this will lead to drug abuse and health complications.
And one more thing, chances are you are NOT a hardgainer. You have as much of a chance of being a hardgainer as you have of being an elite level athlete.
