Muscle Memory

hey guys,

Quick question....

I've done about 3 cycles in my lifetime getting up to about 225 5 % at my climax. I'm currently 24. I juiced from about 21-23 and was so commited and was at the high of my life during that time. Well I am currently in finance and working in NYC so with the 14 hr days I didnt have the time or energy to lift. Now that my business is more established I have the time to get back in the gym and eat right. During the 2 years I took of I would go to the gym maybe twice a week but I didnt eat like I should or rest like I should. I am back down to about 210 at 6'1 and maybe 9% bf. My goal is to get back into it for about 2-3 months and then start taking something. Do you think because of the 5 hard years of lifting that I will be able to recover alot more of my gains because of the progress I have made in the past? Essentially asking about muscle memory. Thanks for any input

Yes they generally come back pretty quickly, I took several years off from injuring disks in my back, blew them actually. Got back into it and it came charging right back to where I was and beyond, gotta love it.

ye i agree with indy, you'll see bro, before you know it, you'll be better than you used to be. muscle memory is a crazy thing.

Most people I pitch this to think I'm full of shit but - I think muscle memory is mostly from hyperplasia (cell division)

That makes it easier to hit a support level of muscle...

You probably won't get everything back, but most should be back pretty quickly, I would guess

You will definitely gain it back quicker than you gained it originally. Im with Indy i have pushed back to where i was and beyond. Goodluck.

Yes you may be are always able to recover your gains quickly.

But no, isnt from any "muscle memory" theres no such thing.
Rather you now have experience on how to lift heavy, choose exercises, know what and when to eat, and how to juice, and that takes time to learn.
