Msn messenger virus

anybody know how to get rid of it. i dont have it myself, but several of the people i chat with does.

They have to heat there hard drives to 500 degrees in boiling water. Then put them in the freezer for a week.

also, add a box of baking soda in the freezer to help prevent freezer burn

no i have not..i prefer doing no research whatsoever before i post her. because i know that tis board is dull of smart people that can help me no matter what my problem is.....DUHH

i do..but not the asses that i refer to..and this virus is a tricly one..it outo sends an exe file thru msn messenger..and if your dumb enough to accept it it messes with your msn messenger, so when you dont ype, the person your talk to gets her screen filled with smilies from you...pretty annoying if you are leading a conversation

You need an anti-virus utility as yellow bomber suggest, simply deleting and reinistalling the program won't work because the virus more than likely is either a file in the system dir or is attached to several other programs files. Sneaky bastards!!!!
