Whats the scoop on this stuff? Is it really bad for you, or is that just a myth?

I've been using a lot of Goya Sazon lately on chicken, and the first ingredient is MSG

There is no definitive truth about MSG

it is not harmful as some still think but some people can be sensitive to MSG

In few cases (rare) MSG causes adverse reactions like asthma, migraine headaches and seizures.

it is also said to be the cause of the "chinese restaurant syndrom"

Don't abuse it but from time to time it is OK

what the hell is "chinese restaurant syndrom"

Chinese Restaurant Syndrome is a combination of symptoms that include feelings of burning, flushing, tingling and tightness - symptoms that some people experience after eating a meal from a Chinese restaurant.

and MSG is the supposed cause of the chinese restaurant syndrome

yeah jg......

read my e-mail response to your question.......

headache city....

also, the sodium will ruin your vascularity if you are after that.....

Are you still cutting, JG1? Besides headaches, I've heard that MSG can slow down or halt fat loss. Anything the body perceives to be a poison - and ergo a threat to homeostasis - will change your metabolism...

MSG... can you say.... here comes some serious bloat?:)

As far as water retention is concerned, wouldn't MSG and regular sodium be the same, mg per mg?

not quite sure about that one but i do know that a day after eating msg i get puffy like i'm on 200mg a day of anadrol.
