Mr. X: TKD or CKD?

I've been spending weeks trying to figure out how I'm going to go about dieting, but I can't figure out which diet to choose. I'm currently in week 7 of 12 of an EQ/var cycle which was originally supposed to be a cutting cycle. After a week of dieting I gave up because this is my first cycle and I didn't want to waste it by not gaining muscle mass. So I bulked as cleanly as I could, but still have some fat left over from bulking all winter. Basically I want to lose some BF, but still get the most out of the remaining portion of this cycle.

Now here's where the real question is. Would a CKD or TKD diet be more effective in gaining LBM while burning fat? And if muscle gain is going to be difficult if not impossible, which diet would be better suited to maintaining the most muscle? And the final part of the question, which diet would you suggest to a college student who is on a busy schedule and has to rely mostly on dining hall food?

From my research TKD seems like it would be most suited for gaining muscle while shedding fat since you get the daily pre-workout carbup. But with the timing of meals, it seems like TKD would be the most difficult for me to do properly on a busy schedule. CKD seems much easier to pull off in that regard since I'm not worried about timing my meals relative to my workouts every day.

Any insight and help would be much appreciated.

CKD is great for maintaining your muscle mass while you are dieting down. You are not going to add mucle if your daily caloric intake is lower than your bodys' daily expenditure. You will go through about a 2 week transition period from carbs to fats as your energy source.

I go 6 days on and 1 day off right now.

Yeah I think I'm going to run a CKD since it's much easier with my schedule. Plus I'll most definitely need the carb up day rather than just preworkout carbs on a TKD
