This is a much better movie than i thought it would be. It feels like a cross between Oceans 11, Lock Stock, and The Italian Job, which to me were all pretty good movies. The cast is great, the story is engaging, the wardrobe, cars, and sets all make for an authentic 70’s feel, and the plot certainly keeps you interested.
Jason Statham is great as always, although he’s as one dimensional as he is every one of his other films. The plot makes all the familiar twists and turns that make it fun to watch, and fun to guess what’s going to happen next.
It was definitely entertaining, but like every other film “based on a true story” I’m sure certain liberties were taken. Overall this makes for a fun Friday night popcorn flick, its rough and unpolished, with a British flair, and that’s what makes it so fun.
