Movie Review : Mummy Tomb of the Dragon Emperor

This ain't no Mummy.

Ok, fine... they take the usual formula for Mummy (and Indy Jones, Tombraider, etc..) and apply it to a different background and setting.

The boobytraps in the tomb and such were cool. The yetis were not your typical storybook yeti variety, instead they looked like a version you would find on Mortal Kombat. And the final battle between the two undead armies really lacked. Had potential... but omg.

Verdict - wait for a rainy night to get the DVD.

I watched the Qin Dynasty special on the National Geographic channel last night. I believe The Mummy was based on the first emperor.

He was a madman. My type of guy.

I liked it more than the most recent Indiana Jones. I guess I just prefer a story based more on historical figures than aliens. The booby traps in the beginning were very "Raiders of the Lost Ark."

He is the same as in the others.

But I will tell you this movie is still better than the Scorpion King.

I like movies set in that time era, with lost treasures discovered and booby traps and magic and such. This one had soooooo much potential but it was lost a bit.

and I hate Brenden Frasier in that role....he's a good comedian, not an action superstar
