I just can't get into most war movies, especially middle east ones. Vietnam movies are a different story, those movies are like watching the creepiest horror movie.

There is torture, gore, people blowing themselves up, different political parties involved, mystery, politics, agendas, lol...it's awesome

It's a spy movie. War movies are like "The Big Red One" and "Full Metal Jacket". Ridley Scott has done a war movie, "Blackhawk Down".

As far as the movie goes: "A" list actors give a "D" script a "C+" performance.

Using your logic "The Kite Runner" is a war film because it takes place in the middle east and one of the kids parents died in a war.

Saving Private Ryan and Platoon are war movies. This is an action/thriller. Same category as a movie like The Rock.
