I recently bought a new KT7a-Raid MB. I installed Win98 SE effortlessly and installed the VIA servic pack. I also installed the HPT370 (i think thats what its called) halfway through where I'm supposed to click win9x in the menu with the large moniter, it says manual not found or something. Dont know whats going on there. Regardless, now whenever I load up my pc, It locks up as soon as I reach the desktop no matter what. As soon as desktop appears, the mouse can be moved and it loads for about 2 seconds and then wham, nothing. Not even ctrl-alt-dlt gets rid of it. Ive flashed the latest bios to the MB also. Im not overclocking it, it seems to run cool, bout 41-43c all the time. I can load in safe mode with not problems, but I dont know what to look for or do when i get in there. I dont have any cards in the PCI slots. The only thing in is my ATI 64 radeon in the AGP slot. Any ideas???
