Money in the Mail?? Illegal??

Not exactly bro. Really though, what would be the difference between that & what I am referring to? I mean could the Postal Inspectors confiscate it on the basis of illegality??

No it's not illegal to send cash in the mail. That is silly. They would have to arrest half the grandparents in the country who send money to their grandkids in a birthday card. It is against the law to give money with the intent to purchase a prohibited substance.

I don't think its illegal at all. Just risky. Lets say during the mail processing the envelope gets mangled/ripped in one of the machines. A dishonest mail processor will likely pocket the $$. While a honest one will put it into another envelope and be on its way to the addressed person.:D Worked in a bank where some guy sent $400 in cash for his montly car loan payment. Got mangled up , but still received the money.

no its not illegal to send money through the mail, but i have read a story where cops/feds whoever, was watching a well known dealer, and confiscating envelope's filled with cash.

Confiscated before or after they popped him? Just wondering if they would have an actual excuse to even confiscate, unless some sort of illegalities have already been established via a bust.
