Ban Him??? For THAT?! Jesus... Let's just listen to VixenVenus's demand and ban Frackal, GT and myself while we're at it. Considering the source, I think you should take it with a grain of salt... granted, racist talk is just that... but when we start interpreting all jokes as racist, then we just get paranoid, thereby contributing to the problem.
As a black man myself, I saw no problems with it.... And frankly, I'd be pissed if they closed the KFC down the street as well.

What you fail to realize sometimes is that NOT ALL POSTS THAT EVERY SINGLE MEMBER MAKES IS READ BY A MOD.
It is a voluntary position and not everyone sits here all day....

I do not fail to realize that, as I'm a mod on another site. I was just pointing out that there have been MANY more offensive things said that don't get changed like that, and I personally don't like 2thick's holier-than-thou attitude about every possible subject. The guy is politically correct to a ridiculous extreme...

Again, I know that, but there are PLENTY of mods that DO in fact watch the site all day that don't edit other peoples posts for thier political correectness.

At least Wodin leaves the persons' words and locks the thread... he doesn't normally censor what the person says.

We could have FIVE GAZILLION mods. This is a VERY HEAVILY traffiked board. Not every mod opens every single thread and even less will read EVERY SINGLE POST.
The facts are that there will always be some people who say tomatoe and others who say to-mah-toe.
THERE IS NO JUSTICE.
The chat board is THE MOST DIFFICULT to moderate as there is such a mixture of people who are here for so many different reasons. There are rules and we do the best to "enforce" them. But not everyone will always be in agreement.
For God's sake didn't George just recently PERSONALLY ban a board member and until everyone moved onto the next flavor of the second there was quite a bit of backlash.... and the fucking board BELONGS TO GEORGE!

Sometimes (and you know this as being a mod on another board) no matter WHAT YOU DO, you get hung out to dry.
I really believe that #1 mod quality is that you have WAY THICK SKIN....
An old friend once described his attitude towards his job and I think that it applies to many aspects of jobs that nobody REALLY wants to do (or perhaps just the shitty aspects of a job). He said that he approaches the evening with a thick skin and a soft heart.
IMHO some very sound advice.
