BTW, following your logic. I'm considering moving every thread started by a Platinium member from the Pics of Member to the Chat Board.

Hey Corn, when ya figger this one out, will we get an explanation on C&C or maybe Select for us Platinum members so we understand what the deal is?
 
I feel that if you are platinum - you can post pics in any forum and they should not be moved.

Dude, I know.

I just want there to be parity between what is expected from the members as well as the mods. You and I both know that there is a double standard, and I do not like it.

because it doesn't affect george's bandwidth since he's not hosting them... plus, why have that function for the non-platinum ppl if you can't see what you've posted because it was moved.

yup just like the sig pics. BTW I think we'll soon find a rule for Platinium members pics so they wont be confusion anymore.
 
The rule will probably end up saying that only platinum members can post pics and view pics. So the reason they move them to the pics board is to keep the non-payers from seeing them. Which i think is wrong..

And if only platinum members can see the pics, thats what? about 12 people who signed up plus the moderators...Its not worth it. Maybe if there were thousands of suscribers, but there isnt. How many pics of one person can ya look at???

Keeping al pics out of view for the non payers is just a way to bribe us to pay for platinum.

Of course, I'm biased... it was my post, and my pictures. The difference in moving all pictures from pictures of our members to chat and conversation is, that platnium members CHOSE to put their pictures there... just as I CHOSE to put my pictures in C&C... if a platnium member decides to put their pictures (non-nude) in any forum, it should stay.

Manny, no problems with you... I can see how it could be interpreted that pictures of members would be in that section.

Hmm... it's a little late to be changing rules now. The contract I signed for my member agreement specficially stated that members could post pictures anywhere. I guess it could be a rule for NEW platnium members... but for existing platnium members, I really don't see how it can be changed... since it would be a valid contract... a 1. Offer (by George to join platnium) 2. Acceptance (accepting the agreement) and 3. Consideration (my payments).

Now, if George wants to negotiate a new membership agreement, that's fine... but since he is taking away one of the reasons I signed up for platnium, I would want a cheaper price to pay... only fair.

I see. Law school right ? just like me. But the confusion came exactly from that statement: post pictures anywhere. What kindda picture ? hummm you see if EF has a board for Pictures of Members then its logical that most of them go there, otherwise why have such a board ? Same thing with pics of women. We need to find a rule that will work for everyone and will not affect your membership nor George's business.

True. :) Also, I'm an attorney, but I did go to law school. :)

I agree, for legal purposes, George shouldn't have naked pictures in the common areas... and it should be a "Pay" area so that age may be verified... otherwise, certain laws could deem this a pornography site for legal purposes.

Remember, the pictures of our members board was up BEFORE the platnium membership started... it just got pigeonholed into being a platnium only forum... and I think it was George's intent to have nude pics in that area of members... which would entice the men of EF to sign up... increasing business.

I don't go crazy with my pics... every now and again, I put up some impersonations, or a pic or two of myself... I would like alot of my friends here and off the board to be able to check them off... that's all. It's almost a BAD thing for platnium members to only be able to put thier pics where platnium members can see them... because there aren't really that many... what, the mods and about 30 other people?

Ahh, so instead of Citrus posting a picture of himself he should have posted a picture of his relative likeness.

And unless we have a board for Pictures That Bear a Relative Likeness of Members, it would remain on the chat board.

One more reason for people like me who wanted to wait 6 months to go Platinum (just to see if the platinum board actually get traffic) to *not* go platinum.

I'm curious to why. Can anyone tell me? If anything I would think that George would remove the ability to host pictures on this site. That's what would take up the bandwidth and harddrive space. Not linking to pictures like smalls does.

Because it's a way for non-plat members to "post" pics, something that was to be for platinum members only....
