i'm torn, over the whole situation. it's hard being subjected to a legend being dismantled; but on the other hand, how many other sandlot & mendoza type players would be smashing records with that type of enhancement. can't wait for the guys to chime in with the "how does juice help you hit a baseball?" well, it fucking does...

yeah the jooser online crowd has been pretty mute about this issue...i kinda thought there would be more pro-clemens type of threads.

Steroid use has been rampant in high school baseball LOOOONG before this scandal. I had teammates "on" when I was a freshman in high school and that was 94 and it wasn't a new thing. So I don't doubt that more young baseball players "may" be more inclined to use but I don't think this new scandal can be labeled the reason why youths are taking them

Why did the guy narc him out anyway? What was in it for him?

Why did his dumb shit lawyer tell him to testify? He should have plead the fifth all the way! Holy shit, that was retarded. The evidence that they have against him is the word of a dealer, basically, and some syringes/guaze of dubious origin. There is no chain of custody for those items, so any lawyer worth her/his salt could get that shit excluded. I don't see how having OLD blood on a syringe/guaze would prove anything anyway, even if it were allowed into evidence. He already admitted that he gave him B12 shots or some crap. Any of that evidence could have been tampered with.

Plus, what a waste of friggin time, energy, and money to have a stupid hearing about steroids in baseball. Give me a damn break. We have bigger issues on the agenda, like the war, like the economy, hell just about a zillion things before I would focus on drugs in baseball.

Also, why did the dealer rat on him? Is he trying to sell a book? Was he offered immunity for dealing if he ratted on the players, or what? I haven't been following the story too much.
