mirror or scale??

louisiana

New member
Ive been doing primo 400mg wk with 50mg of winny for the last 4 weeks. My diet have been good and workout is getting intense but the scale want move. I see the results in the mirror but my scale only show a 3lb weight loss in 4 weeks. In the morning im 331 lbs when i check. I want to see the results in the mirror and on the scale. What am i doing wrong? should i do more cardio because i need to get down to 200lbs by september. 30 lbs in 12 weeks should be reachable.

use pictures. take weekly front and back. this way you can see the results and make the adjustments you already should know how to make at this point.

I do believe what you are seeing is that due to being on cycle you are adding muscle at roughly the same rate you are dropping fat. If you werent on cycle Id suspect you would see a greater drop in the number on the scale.

I could be wrong but thats what it sounds like to me.

I do look a lot better in week 4 than i did in week 1 i must admit. Maybe it is the cycle of primo that giving me the results in the mirror and keeping my weight up on the scale. I will do more cardio and i will see how it work for me. For some reason im having a hard time getting into the 220's, im staying in the 230's lbs range.

Diet is more important than cardio.

Give me a good diet for a guy looking to lose 30lbs in 12 weeks. Im 231 lbs and i have money to buy any food that you recommend. If you can help me i would appreciate it greatly!
Post your diet in detail. It's easier to tweak your diet based on indication of what you like to eat. I can post a diet, but it doesn't mean it's tailored toward the things you like. And the number one key to a diet is that it's maintainable, and that means it must be in someway fit for you.

Rules of thumb I like to follow in general is:

1) Other than breakfact, don't have fats with carbs. Meals should be either protein and fats or protein and carbs.

2) Spread your fats out, and only take in 1 hour before next carb meal or 2 hours after your last carb meal.

3) Spread your carbs out - don't have any one meal/snack heavy in carbs.

4) Consume protein consistently throughout the day.

A good base plan is:

Upon waking, 15-20g whey shake (with little to no carbs)
Breakfast (healthy fats, slow carbs, protein)
First snack - healthy fats (nuts/cheese)
Second snack - a few slow carbs, protein
Lunch - slow carbs and protein
After lunch snack 1 - healthy fats (nuts/cheese)
Second snack - a few slow carbs, protein
Pre-workout - 20g protein
Post-workout - 40g protein, 40g slow carbs [lets avoid spiking your insulin even here]
Before bed - 20 to 40g casein protein, nuts

Based on the fact you seem to be obsessed a little about how you look throughout (the other post about looking flat), I'd try carb cycling. Maintain 40-50% of your calorie macros as protein, and alternate between a day where you have low carbs and higher healthy fats (20/30), and a day where you have higher carbs and lower healthy fats (40/10).

Again, this is what works for me to maintain muscle while cutting fat - may not work for you.

But post your diet and let's do some tweaking.

would of liked you to drop 20 pounds WITHOUT running any cycle. DIET ALONE can accomplish that.

we have discussed this before louisiana and i thought we agreed that running a cycle was not a good idea cause you would be dissapointed with your results and only be delaying your goal.

steroids aren't magic.. you should fix your diet and training BEFORE running a cycle or face dissapointment.

How true. I think there's an underlying obsession with using AAS for his goals, and it concerns me.

yup, and people dont get that DIET is the #1 thing. whether you want to build muscle or lose weight.

lots of clean food and water with help build up your muscles
and lots of clean food and water with help you lose weight

there is no trick to it. it would be wonderful if you could take a pill and get muscles or take a pill and lose weight, but unfortunately it doesn't work like that. and once you start eating clean you will find that big macs and fried foods become absolutely disgusting to even smell.

Diet is critical, I'm sure you aware of that. You could be gaining muscle and losing fat at the same time
thats why the scale isnt budging. Have you ever had you BF% ACCURATELY CHECKED?

When i went to a dietian she made me step on a scale that gave me a 16% bodyfat reading. I know this is not the most accurate way to measure bodyfat. I need to get it done with a caliper soon but where can i go to get it tested?
