Milk in a cutting cycle

New member
I read a post my Mustang and he said to avoid milk in a cutting cycle. I am starting my cutting cycle soon and i usually drink 2 protien shakes a day with 1% milk. (10 ounces of milk per shake) Why is Milk bad in a cutting cycle or just lowering BF in general?

Lactose, fructose, sucrose, all simple sugars... not the best for a cutting cycle

one cup of Nonfat milk (8 oz)

calories 85.75
protein 8.35
carbs 11.88
sugars 11.88
fat .44

Protein 39 %
Carbs 56%
fat 5%

you can see that these % are not in accordance w/ a cuting diet
and also notice that ALL carbs come from sugars.

honetly unless you are 2 weeks out from a contest, milk is fine. yes it has lactose but 2 glasses a day wont affect you at all if your complete diet is in check.

lets understand that a "glass" like we have in the cupbard is more than a "cup" (8 oz) so if you have a glass thats 14-16 oz, youre looking at 44 grams of sugar a day, thats 176 calories of sugar.... then i gues timing would have a lot to do with it...sugar befoer bed? bad idea... first thing in the am or after a workout... I would do that w/ nbo prob...

Dissto makes a point as long as it fits into the boundreis of your diet you should be OK

Lots of consumption of dairy products does make one appear more smooth, however, unless you are cutting for a contest, a glass or two of skim milk won' t hurt much.
