I'm not down with the no carbs before bed rule. (However, If I was trying to cut up I may abide by it for a time) You need insulin to help that protein you eat do its job. My last full meal of the day I eat a samll low glycemic index carb portion and some protein, usually meat. The instant before bed I drink same whey protein. I keep 1 or 2 glasses with 25 grams of whey protein by my bed and drink them at intervals throughout the night.
I'm looking for a company that still makes a casein only product if anyone can help...
