Michigan Bros...I need some help

Hey guys...If any of you live in Michigan, i could use a little help. Nothing illegal, I promise. Here's the deal...

I was selling my computer on ebay (brand new apple ibook, $1800) and this guy asked if I wanted to trade computers instead of selling it. Now this guy had done business with a friend of mine (who was selling my computer under his ebay name), and he said he never had any problems. So I decided to do it. We agreed to ship the computers out the same day. So i shipped mine out, and I find out he never shipped his out. Now he's been giving me 3 different stories.

1) His daughter is in the hospital, so he's been busy with that.
2) He sent it out, and it came bacj undeliverable.
3) He had problems with the computer, so he sent it back to dell to get a new one.

He's been in constant contact with me, so I don't think he's trying to scam me...But there is obviously the possibility. Here's what I need from someone on the boards: He gave me his home address, his work address, and his name...I just want to know if someone can find out if the name matches up with all the addresses. If anyone can help me out, Please email me, and I'll send you all his info. [email protected]

He works in Port Huron, MI and he lives in Northville, MI. So anyone in that area would be especially helpful...

Thanks Andy...I've tried looking online for sites like that, but all the ones i found were pay sites, and I figured it would be easier to find someone in michigan. I'll check those out...

I know bro...I fucked up. I wish I knew some people in Michigan and I would. I'm going to call the police most likely this weekend. He did say that he is sending me a check for the computer and then when his is ready to go, I can just send it back. So he said he sent an $1800 check yesterday...but when I asked him for a tracking number, he said he just sent it regular mail...That has me worried, cuz who the fuck sends $1800 without even getting a trackig number?!?!

You know what? Now that I say this out loud...I'm going to call the police right now...and at least have them check him out...

Hey Bulldog i sent you a pm, i'll help i don't live to far from him, i could pay him a visit, if he fu(ks you, wont kick his ass or anything but he doesn't need to know that, all he needs to know is you got contacts that are close enough to reach out and touch him, and the cops will do nothing, it's the feds and they are to busy chasing roids and terrorists, I know about this,I got screwed on some gold coins (2 years ago) by a guy that stole over $250,000 from people on ebay and is still walking free, the FBI is still investigating. Oh and you'll feel good to know that ebay has insurance, covers all of $175

i'd go with two of your bigger buddy's and smile nicely and ask him to send the money or computer to the nice fellow. tell him you'll be back in about 3 days......priority time USPS....to check and see if he needs to be walked down to the PO by holding his hand...or neck.....
