I don't think Micheal's is the connection per se. I think it has to do with a suburban area, kinda MOR (middle of the road) locales, to make us feel powerless. Gas stations, walking across the street, shopping, sitting in front of a post office, parking lots of stores..routine, daily activities.

I keep asking myself..who would want to kill someone ordinary?? Then again this is someone or some people who are definitely crazy and probably just want to lash out/murder/feel powerful.
