Mentally dealing with coming off...

Today was my first time off gear for about 3.5 months...I have some long acting esters in me so I know I will feel them for a bit but has anyone had any mental issues with being off...this has pretty much been my life for 14 weeks and feel that as soon as I lost the pump from the gear the first thing I will do is reach for my pins..however, I need to give my body some time off and normalize my levels..I also miss going out and having a few beers without wondering what this is doing to my live...any comments on how to psych yourself up about being done with gear for a bit?

I usually like to take a supplemet like creatine (dextrose/ala) and pump myself up as if the creatine is gonna help me gain even more weight. Even a supp like NO2 can help post cycle, its all in the mind bro.

Just plan for you next cycle and try to solidify the gains you have. The worst thing you can do is get depressed, start drinking and fuck up your diet and training. Stay focused stay the course and keep trying to get better... gear or not.

Plan your next cycle, and keep your post cycle therapy going. I for one always go with a base score...such as where I started body fat wise, body weight, mesurements, bases on bench, squat, deadlift...my goal is always to get past base by next cycle I find that losing 15% on strength is my usual...
I hate seeing my gains dwindle, but it's part of the game....

I always use insulin when coming off. It helps me believe that I am still on and I get to inject still. Plus slin will help you maintain most if not all of your gains. I also sometimes use a small amount of synthol in arms to help from getting deppresed and feeling small.

I come off Friday and am facing the same thing.

Last cycle I got all down and shit after but this time I am already excited about my next cycle and getting even bigger.

This has made me focus on going balls to the walls in the gym while off, refusing to let these gains get away.

I am gonna take creatine and a bunch of other supps, eat clean and crazy and not lose what I worked my ass off to achieve!!!

How long post cycle do you use slin, and what kind of split?

How has it been working for you gain wise?

I use slin about a week after my cycle ends. I usually do 4weeks on, 4 off, 4 on and then I start my next cycle. In the past 3 cycles I have done this and never lost more than 2 lbs. My strength usually stays the same as well. My first 4 cycles I never used slin and lost an average of 8lbs each time I came off, so needless to say slin is awesome.

Do you lose that much after the cycle ?
I usually gain about 15lbs each cycle. with normal post cycle therapy (no slin) I would lose about 7-8lbs by 3 months after cycle. WIth slin I only lose about 2lbs and last cyle I actually did not lose any.

What do people in your gyms say when you look like a monster for 6-8 weeks and then look alot smaller after ? :)

welcome to the DEMON that pleagues us all....It is the psychological concept of ourselves that start us BB in the first place IMO....It all starts in the mind with perceptions of who we are, and what we want to be....this is the most dangerous part of BB.....I dont think there is any drug- side-affect as great as the mental anguish that accopanies coming off from your gear...the mind games that we all play internally are exhausting...and life long...: :clock:

whew, thank you for the replies..I really thought I was the only one who had these type of worries...day 2 has passed and feel good, no training today, only cardio but I feel fine...running proviron and nolva to help with post cycle therapy, it will be nice to have a sex drive again (I stopped test 5 weeks ago)....I am actually looking forward to losing a little bulk and obtain a more astetic look...thanks for the input

I have to admit i also crash really hard.
I find that its easier for me to come off knowing and planning what my next cycle willll be.
Its also much easier for me to come off when i still have alot of stuff left over and feel as if i came off on my own and not cause i ran out of shyt.

But definately get some suplements and keep saying to urself that most of it is in ur head cause it is.

Good luck bro, and ill be joining ur depression reallly soon too...

Most people get, as they dub it..."post-cycle depression" It's quite common. A lot of it is due to the fear of losing some gains a little strength and not seeing yourself grow until next cycle......even though it sucks to be off cycle, it's necessary to be in this game and be healthy. Just make sure that you focus on keeping a routine of going to the gym and busting your ass. Your focus should be to make sure that you maintain your gains.

That's the one advantage to becoming an old guy.......you can justify HRT on a year-round basis as I do. Not for young people, though.
When I still cycled, I found that a GH/insulin bridge was the ultimate. Full recovery is possible without significant size or strength losses.

yes ironmaster.....will try now...how old are you??? could I replace the slin with something else?? GH is a must, and works well..no crash.....

I came off 1 1/2 weeks ago. Started gh 6 1/2 weks ago. I also am taking maca, tribulis, creatine, No2, clomid(only for 2 weeks, too depressing), along with ala, multi and other vitamins. So far I haven't lost any weight, but I am feeling low. I need some mood altering drugs.lol

I like the RALA/Dextrose/Creatine combo for post cycle and to help maintain gains. I swear ALA just makes me feel full and hard, but it may also be due to running low carb for so long.
