Megadeth disbanding (?)

I hate to say it.....the arm isn't injured it is a herion and crack habit that has come back to haunt him.....He relapsed after 10 years SOBER.... God willing we may see him again:(

They are breaking up because Mustaine wants to spend more time with his children. They've done everything they needed to do and I'm sure they are all set financially. Why miss out on seeing your children grow to make a few more dollars?

I heard rumours he became a born again Christian and the hand thing also but I just think he wants to take time off and will prolly come back at a later date on his own with a brand new band.

That sucks, I really liked Megadeth. I hate seeing the metal genre die off while rap, R&B, soft rock, and alternative occupy all the media attention and airplay.

They spun out some great tracks in their time:

Symphony of Destruction

Hangar 86

Dread and the Fugitive Mind

Trust

Return to Hangar

Peace Sells, But Who's Buying?

and my all time Megadeth favorite:

Kill the King... great song.

hate to say this,
but metal is VERY far from dying!!!!!!!!!!!

it's just slipped through the cracks i guess
just because it's not completely mainstream dosnt mean its dying. it never WAS mainstream

True. But there was a time when it was more mainstream than it is now.

I just hate to see all these commercialized bullshit bands (i.e. N Sync, Brittney Spears, Destiny's Child, Will Smith, etc.) occupy the airtime on MTV and dominate radio airplay.

In 10 years, no one will remember anything any of the aforementioned groups have done because all there work has no staying power - there's nothing to it. It's simply designed to sell albums and make money - there's no artistic depth to any of it.
