Meal Replacements while dieting....

What do you guys think about a few MRP's per day while trying to achieve optimum fat loss. I am a busy guy, a student and a part time worker, so I am always on the go and never home. I was thinking about adding a few MRP's in there during those times when I can't sit down and eat a meal. What do you guys suggest for an MRP that is low in sugar and low to moderate in carbs? Thanks

Always eat real food. Pakc your food and take it with you. Prepare it all in advance. There's no excuse to not eat whole foods. If you can carry a jug of MRP arounf then you can carry a small cooler with your food in it. There's no bennifit to using MRP's in place of whole food. Much of the protein is wasted in it becaus it's whey and the carbs are almost always high GI simple sugars. They load them up with a nice little vitamin profile so they look all spiffy, but in reality they aren't well digested and tollerated unless you need an imediate spike of nutrient(post training).

MPRs are pure shit. Loaded with low quality carbs and low quality protein.

Make your own MRP. Protein Powder and regular Oatmeal. Mix in a hand blender. That's what I do. If you want some taste, you can add a tablespoon of Quaker muffin mix(bad idea, but okay once in a while.)

Making your own is a good idea. Toss in some oats, flax, penut butter, a bannana, milk, whatever and you will have a much more wholesome MRP. This would be a much more sensible alternative.

Remember dude, getting cut takes dedication. If you want it bad enough, you'll do it. MRP suck, they are low quality. Try to stick with whole foods and whey protein. I would also recomend Glutamine, as it helps with pretty much everything while dieting.

Good luck.

I've never had a problem getting cut using MRPs. Be careful with carbs though. You might want to go out and get some good protein powder and use that instead. Drinking MRPs is better than eating nothing at all.
