Mayo substitue for sandwiches???

its not too bad. I used to mix it with tuna instead of using mayo and since it doesn't really have much of a flavor you can adjust it just about any way you want.

I puree carrots and a little ginger. Makes a nice sandwich spread.

Puree some veggies and add a little flavor, cinnamon, ginger, garlic, etc. You have a nice flavorful zero fat spread for your sandwiches and meats.

Low-Carb marinara spaghetti sauce... lower in sugar, calories, and obviously carbs. Throw in the microwave and pour over your wich.

That sounds good, but I was thinking a topping for salmon and turkey sandwiches. Spaghetti sauce wouldn't go with either.

Esentially marinara is just tomato in paste form. I use it on top of turkey all the time. Try spreading fat-free/low-fat ricotta cheese over some bread, add turkey, pour some warm marinara to top, add veggies... tastes to good to be true.

The tomato paste has really worked for me. Tomatos are naturally sweet (fructose). Try it with the turkey. I haven't tried salmon, but turkey on dark flax bread spread with tomato paste (or maybe even a little toasted) tastes great to me. Try it, you've got nothing to lose but a piece of bread and some turkey :P Feed it to a dog if all else fails.

Hummus (homemade to avoid the tahini), mashed avocado, yogurt cheese (drain yogurt in a plain paper towel lined colander overnight - it's like cream cheese), mustard, FF mayo.
