Max Protein per serving

What is the maximum amount of protein you can consume per serving? I generally take no more than 60 grams at a time.

There is no exact amount. It all has to do with how active you are and how much muscle you have, your lean body mass. A person who hits the weights consistantly and is heavily muscled can definitely utilize more of the protein than a big tub-o-guts couch potato.

So if you sit around all day flipping the channel on the tv, well then about half those 60 grams of protein are being wasted. But then again if you were a couch potato you probably wouldn't be here asking that question.

I work out 4-5 times a week, watch what I eat, and try to consume at least 1gm/lb or 200 grams a day. I had read somewhere that the gut can process only about 50 grams a serving and any more than that is a waste.
 
Well there very well could be a set limit in the amount of pro. in a meal that's utilized by the body so just a little common sense would be needed. I would never try say, 75 grams in a meal/shake. The most I take in at a sitting would be in my post workout shake and that's about 53 grams. I'll wait a little over 2 hrs. before I take in more protein. I try to get at least 240 grams per day but have hit 300 several times.
