One of the best films of the year so far. Ridley Scott proves again that he does not need to direct a huge, epic, battle flick in order to turn out a quality movie.

Sam Rockwell is up there with the most underused character actors in the business today.

The end pissed me off more than almost any other movie ending. I mean, I liked the ending and thought it fit the movie, but once you see it you will understand.

I liked it. Right before the beginning I hated what happened, but as it went on I kninda liked the idea of how everything fit into place. The very ending was a small surprise although I shouldve seen it comming. I actually kinda felt bad for the Roy...but atleast he's happy.

Often he does overact and showboat. But in this film and films such as "Leaving Las Vegas" where he did win an Oscar, he shows his true colors.

How about Alison Lohman? She plays his 14 year old daughter in the movie but she's really 24 years old.

Breakout performance for her. She was excellent.
