marriage- is it worth it?

Just depends. I don't see why a man and a woman can just 'be together' instead of marriage, which costs a lot of money and in case she decides to divorce you and you are SOL.

Then again, i'm only looking at the negative side of it. There could be positive benefits as well

Actually married isn't that big of a deal to other cultures. I was talking to a girl from Argentina and she couldn't believe how much marriage is stressed in the US. If it wasn't for my fiance wanting a grand wedding, We would just go down to the courts and do it. I don't need some legal papar shit to profess my love to my fiance.
