Marine boot camp & prior steriod usage.....

For you guys who have used anabolics before going into the marines, how much mass & strength have you lost while in bootcamp?
 
You will probably lose a LOT. Nothing but tons of calistenics, and cardio. I wouldn't recommend trying to bulk up before, as they will strip it all off of you. They want lean athletic killers, not muscle heads. Even if you are ripped, they may make you a diet recruit if you are overwieght, and you don't really get to eat or drink crap. Physically it really isn't that tough.

Beyond that...remember its all just a big mind fuck. If you want to get punished but in return get promoted, go for squad leader or guide. If you want to go through as easily as possible, do everything right, and just try to blend in. Hehe, I still remember it like it was yesterday..."socks on now, socks off now, socks on now, socks off now" heheh just to fuck with your head. You'll see. =]
 
Hey Bro,

Best advice I can give you is to train before you go so that you can do the 18 minute 3 mile, 20 pullups fast, etc.

If you can get there and already deal with all the cardio and calesthentics easily, then you only have to deal with the mental crap.

Whatever you do, don't cycle too soon before you get there. You don't want to be crashing during boot camp. I crashed at camp and I was an emotional mess.

If you are big, you will lose a lot of size cuz you do too much aerobic work and you only eat 3x/day. (Except when in the field and you get like a whole 900 cals/day.)

The funny thing is these kids from the sticks and the ghetto. They've nver eaten a good meal in their life. And have lived on grape drink and mac and cheese. They actually gain muscle and weight like crazy.

i didnt work out before bootcamp and was very out of shape so bootcamp helped me to put on some mass..i looked much bigger when i came out..during bootcamp u will do a ton of cardio, a ton of marching and ur drill instuctors may let u lift weights during ur free time..the only problem with all this exercise is that u only get fed 3 times a day..the worst part about boot camp IMO is how hungry u get..the hunger pains suck!!most people lost weight.. was the exception..now after boot camp when u are dooing MCT u will loose a ton of weight..they only feed u 1000cals a day for about a month..after mct when u get to ur MOS school is when u can hit the weights and food hard..if ur lucky u might get stationed in el paso..gear only a boarder crossing away!
