Man Recovers From Hiv

I think it is great if it is true.
At the moment we are not 100% that the tests were his own when he first got tested with HIV regardless of what the doctors are saying.

It could be true but I will take the story with a grain of salt.

Agreed.

Although I did hear of some resarch that showed promising preliminary results for a vaccine using, of all things....Aligator blood.

bro your glass is half empty again, youd better fill it up ;)

My glass is twice as big as it needs to be.
Using Occam's razor of logic means that the simplest explanation is always the likeliest.
Rather than the disappearance of a virus from the organism, the far more likely explanation is human error in the lab like the fertilized eggs debacles where a white couple gave birth to a black couples egg and now baby and vice versa.

Things get mixed up in labs, blood samples get mistakenly switched, fertilized eggs get mixed up. Human error.
Magic Johnson, others may have low viral load meaning they are healthier or have a less virulent strain of the HI virus but it doesnt go away, thats not how it works.
The article is written that this guy may be the key to curing HIV when they never touched on if they retested the guy's initial blood sample. Thats the most obvious first step before declaring the man has recovered from it.
BTW, this wouldnt be the first time that theyve told people they are HIV positive and turns out they werent

yeah yeah so what, its still worth investigating

pessimistic mofo. i bet your house is painted brown, since Occam's razor of logic would suggest that any dirt sticking to it would also be brown, and so your house would still look nice.

hmf.

I'd say it's low ... they can't even detect it.

someone at the lab screwed up the first test, it happens

There's no excuse for that type of shit to happen when it involves someone's life. How hard is it to properly label and sort peoples' files/results? And any medical professional who tries to deny the possibility that they fucked up should be banned from practicing medicine ever again.

Yeah but that is different from this case. He is on a cocktail of drugs to keep it so low. This guy is claiming that it's just gone. All better! Yeah right.....

I dont know, billions in malpractice claims go out b/c of human error each year. Perhaps you could devise a better system and become a billionaire and save hundreds of thousands of lives by taking human error out of humans

Most people I know dont deny it with they mess up, labs have reputations to protect, they are a business so more likely to not admit it. However, given the litigious society, a screw up is not always related to the patient or else no medical care system would stand, thats how many screwups there are. You'd have no experienced personnel.

You know you could have just said "human error" and saved yourself like 50 lines.

With the impending risk of bird flu endemic anti-viral research is going increase on a major scale.
