Ok, I'll say this in the nicest way possible:

Ask anybody on here who is experienced with "supplementation" how old they were when they started or how long they actually trained hard and ate right before they started...chances are, 99% of these guys who have great physiques and are successful in their bodybuilding goals actually busted their ass before doing anything chemical.

Remember this: you must:

1) get your training down--learn all muscles, exercises, what they hit, learn about training intensity, rep periods, and all of that..its easy..just read some muscle mag or look on the internet on training discussion boards...GET TRAINING DOWN

2) GET DIET DOWN: You are what you eat..if you eat shitty, well guess what? you're gonna look like shit..understand macronutrient ratios, carbs (simple vs. complex), glycemic index, proteins, EFA's..etc...

Diet is 90% of all of our success stories here on elite..i'll bet my bottom dollar on that.

and

3) Realize that drugs will not compensate for hard work--nothing will. Knowledge is power, power will give you success in the gym.

If you cannot get a strong foundation built, then "supplmentation" will do nothing for you. Then you'll complain and tell all your friends how steroids are bad and they dont work and you lose all the muscle after you get off of them etc etc etc..basically all the bullshit the american media says about them..its newbies like you who dont learn first, that keep feeding that negative attitude society has on supplementation..

that is all..no go to the search button and read for about a year before you come back :)

good post keep em coming. I am quite young compared to most of you. Thats why i am here to gain proper knowledge before i take the plunge. I know i dont want to get screwed badly like some friends i know. thanks for all your help.
 
bump from a newbie. Yes he's right I've made great gains in the last few months just from decent training and decent diet (15lbs lean mass, I had bf checked to make sure, 4.4%!!!). I still don't have the steadiest diet, or a perfect training routine, but he's not lying it works. Drugs are not the magic answer, put in some work and the results come on their own.

I really, really, really hope all newbies take this post to heart. Shit, alright, I'm gonna swallow some pride here. I'm starting to get all of my shit down now, and I've done 3 "legitimate cycles", as well as one dumb fuck thing- I took 100mg of drol ed for 6 weeks, with no anti-e's, no clomid, nothing. Basically blew up and gained tons of strength, then watched it all disappear. After all of my cycles, I immediately went to cutting calories and training lighter with more volume so I could cut...Fuckin eh, I was such a dumbass...always losing at least 60% of my gains.

Well, after some SERIOUS research on elite, asking questions, and through tons of trial and error, as well as a shitload of money poorly spent, I feel I am finally ready to do my next cycle.

The bottom line, fellas, for all that are new to the game, take heed to Kaks advice on #1, 2, and 3. I really wish I would have done my homework earlier in the game, instead of playing catch-up now. For fucks sake, I should be 30 lbs heavier right now, with little to no gyno. If you don't know everything, and I mean EVERYTHING!, then DON'T START ON GEAR!!!!! Don't do the dumb shit I did-I'll openly admit it, I was ONE DUMB FUCK- all you are going to do is end up blowing up, then deflating...albeit for a nice set of tits and some serious stretch marks. Not to mention wasting a ton of money in the process.

This may sound cliche, but anything worth doing is worth doing right...especially when your health is potentially at stake!

Great post Kak...this is truly serious business, but when done right, is a hell of alot of fun!

Great post. God you bet your ass diet is important. Im looking better everyday and yeah im taking anabolics but i've done "see food" diets while taking anabolics when I was bouncing and let me tell you a strict diet makes all the difference in the world, whatever your genetics.

To add to this make sure you balance proper hard and smart with training with adequate amounts of rest. Not just for your muscles, but for your whole system to properly recuperate. Adjust this according to your genetics and your lifestyle.
 
i pretty much agree there is no steroid pixie who waves her magic wand and provides you with muscle, you must eat right,train,sleep a good 7-8hrs then supplement according to your needs
 
Years of solid training and lean muscle mass before I even thought about supplementation. Jumping into the deep end without knowing how to swim is stupid.
