Mail Virus

I have some weird email virus in my computer. Does anyone know how to fix it?? It is some type of worm virus, whatever that means.

you need "norton anti-virus." Sometimes it can cure it, but it's mostly good for prevention.

If you do have an antivirus app, try and let it quarantine the infected files or better yet clean them. Hopefully you caught it soon enough where it didn't infect any critical files. Do you know the name of the worm by chance?

Which virus is it? nimda? There are many stand alone utils you can get and run from a floppy to remove some of the worms out, especially helpfull if comp is acting up.

LOL JK DONT DO THAT!!! If you want to reinstall everythin... (including windows) go ahead, but otherwise i was joking and typing that would format your cdrive.. bad idea for computer n00b.

Go to : [www.pandasoftware.com] and run a free online virus scan. They update often and will identify and disinfect as well. Good luck.

A worm ate through my friends entire computer. 1800+ downloaded songs, Programs, etc. gone. Everytime he tried to delete the worm it would duplicate itself and relocate to another file name until eventually there were thousands of worms in his harddrive

Go to www.grisoft.com and download the free virus scanner. Not only will it clean your computer up of existing viruses but will also protect it from any future crap that someone may try and send you.
