Magnesium works by basically pulling water into your intestines, consequentially, you might be thirsty as hell, drink and don't restrict salt, seriously, might throw your electrolytes off, might make your blood pressure go low, make you a little lightheaded.
I mean, there's all sorts of POTENTIAL effects if you google magnesium citrate, seriously.
Of course the boomerang of taking a "chemical" laxative (as opposed to extra fiber on a daily basis) is that you might NOT go for a day or two afterwards ... and that's how people end up getting hooked on laxatives.
