Should be installed by 12/7. Not my fault I am way behind, I live right by NYC too. Took forever to get access to any kind of connection faster then dial up here. There are a lot of times when I just won't go to another forum or read a certain thread because it will just take too long to come up on my screen.

So now that I am going to be using dsl (a real connection) I wanted to know what there really is there on the internet? When I had a satelite connection for about a month (it really sucked but was a bit faster then dial up) i was downloading games and trying to go to crazy web pages and what not. I'm gonna be paying $50 a month for the shit so what can I do with this new found speed?

DSL is fast. I got satellite about a year ago, I live in the sticks with no cable or dsl. Satellite is somewhat faster, you can download music and apps at least. The uploading is still dial up though.

Bro you should seriously consider getting roadrunner up there if you can. I've seen speeds posted on speedguide.net from guys that are hitting 3mbpsin the New Yor/New Jersey area. Most dsl companies only offer 1.2-1.5mbps speeds for that price. Since dumping dsl and getting roadrunner, my download speed has increased from 160megabytes/sec to 290megabytes/sec. That's 1.2mbps to 2.3mbps. Cable rocks if you're in the right place

at that fast a speed does it really matter that i need to go that much faster? i mean i want to download like programs at will, let's say i wanted to download a whole cd, around 700 megs is it? how long would that take?

download kazaa or morpheus, and just put porn in the search box, and let the porn flow on to your hard drive. mind you, you will need the proper codecs for your media player.
