Magic mushrooms..how do you know which ones to pick??

i have heard that many look alike, but most will just get you sick. i dont feel like poisoning myself, so someone help me out. Somehow, i feel that havoc will respond to this.

If they are growing out of cow shit, squeeze the stem and if it brusies a bluish purple then thats a P. cubensis. the mushroom has a golden top with a purple ring around the stem.

buy a copy of the audobon society's guide to wild mushrooms. it'll have all the answers you need and plenty of juicy color photographs.

Go out and pick every mushroom you see growing out of cowshit. You may have to look in 20 fields before you find the right one but its all worth it. We can pick a lb dry weight a day here in one field man! ONE FIELD

If it turns purple, eat it. None of the other ones even bruse.

if youre in dallas you have shroom fields all over the place. East texas is one big shroom field!

Whatever you do, don't eat any shroom growing off from any type of wood or near it.

the problem with that is that there has to be the precise amount of moisture for it. i'm really don't know that much about it. all i know is that it's dangerous to be looking in someone's cow pasture because you risk getting arrested for trespassing (which is very likely if they see your car parked to the side of the road) or getting shot at by the owner (has happened to some of my friends).
