Yup Bill L says Nolva and Bill Roberts says clomid and likely Nolva too for keeping HDL up
We must note that 17aa oral have more affect on serum cholesterol and especially HDL dumps.
Other supplements include...
Niacin....clinically need at least 1000mg per day in divided doses. Don't use the older time released ones as they are hard on the liver. Niacin has a greater impact on HDL than any drug ...ask any cardiologist.
****Omega 3 and 6 oils...especially 3. 3 is found in Tuna, Salmon, sardines and especially fax. Grind up a couple table spoons of seed in a small coffee grinder and mix with lots of water a few times per day...or ...buy the oil at a health food store.
Avoid all saturated animal fat as they do nothing for you but keep you feeling full and elevate total cholesterol and decrease HDL.
***Avoid all trans fatty acids ie.Margerine(except Becel) all vegeatable oils shortenings and partially hydrogenated oils (read labels)
Don't use ANY oil for cooking except extra virgin olive oil as ALL other oils have been super heated and are full of trans fatty acids.
Never heat any oil above 275 degree or so as high heat will create trans fatty acids...so if you must fry then use an electric pan with a temp control.
Do aerobic exercise at least 30 mins three times per week as this elevates HDL.
Eat lots of Oatmeal as this does help.
Although cholesterol intake is not as important as avoiding saturated fat and trans fatty acids I would still limit total cholesterol that you eat. All meats have about the same per once. Eggs have a lot but only in the yolk. Eat a dozen eggs per day but only a couple yolks at most.
Don't get fat as this will raise total cholesterol and HDL.
Buy the book" Fats That Heal, Fats that Kill". It is the best out there and is written by a scientist and not a quack!
Estrogen Inhibitors(not blockers) will cause a sharp decline in HDL. This has been proven in at least one study, ask Bill L.
Bill Roberts 2 0n 4 0ff cycles have little negative affect on cholesterol and HDL. go to mesorx.com
We need a sticky on this as the Cholesterol /HDL issue is the worst side efect of roid use IMO...but when your 21 these things don't even cross ones mind
