Lyle Alzado: Are We Clear On His death??

Sir-Que

New member
Ok i'm having a debat right now with some "critic's" who are pointing to him taking steroids as being the "direct" casue of his death, "well look what happend to Lyle".

Thing is are we clear on this, cauue surley he's not the first NFL player to use, and i'm surely since his death 10+ years ago, other player have been using just a much or alot more than he did.

Were there ever and statements released about his death that would clear things up of than HIM saying it was all the roids.

From what I remember he died from contracting cancer from HGH. Synthetic HGH has only been on the market a short time. Up until the synthetic stuff hit the market the only stuff availabe was real HGH pulled from the pituitary glands of swine. Unfortunately, a lot of the HGH from the pigs carried some strange viral infection that was deadly to humans. I've never researched any of this and to tell you the truth I can't even remember where I read this. Maybe somebody else can shed some more light.

Steroids may or may not have played a role in his death. I seriously doubt it, but if they did so what? If your friends want to point to Lyle Alzado you might want to point out that according to Dr Harrison Pope of Harvard University, over a million men in America have used steroids for other than medical purposes. So why aren't they dropping dead like flies? Why aren't hospitals full of steroid users from the past 40 years with all these health ailments the media speaks of? Surely the government would love to point a finger at all of them and say, "this could happen to you". How 'bout just 1% of them, 10,000, that would be enough to show cause for all the alarmists. Where are they? Point out to your friends that Lyle was one in a million, literally.

yes there was statements released about Lyle's death,, they were from Lyle himself before he died. I can't remember what talk show it was but Lyle did an interview and blamed all his problems on steroid abuse. you might be able to find something on it but I don't know cuz it was so long ago. but Lyle did say he was using alott of roids.

...and Jimi Hendrix died from alcohol. Does that mean that you should never, EVER have an Amstel Light at a BBQ this summer?

There is acceptable use, and outright abuse.

What is your point with this post?

This right here is the crux of my point, where is all the other dead "juicers". Not making light of Lyle. If his death had been solely because of steroids then where are the other afflicted NFL players, and where's all these dying Bodybuilders.

I do know that He released a statment or said it was because of roids, but it just never added up to me, was this official or was it something else.

I guess you could say his statement was official, its his statement. but nobody will ever know the underlying reason for his statements....
I guess it really comes down to the line between use and abuse. sure alott of players and bodybuilders use and might use more then lyle did but the abuse comes in when someone doesn't know what the hell they are doing when they take the stuff. Alott of people rely on 2nd hand info and don't want to do the homework on it.. myself, I don't know enough about it yet to make a proper cycle and so I won't do it. if I did it would be abuse on my part

My point is Lyle's death has been said to been a direct result of "roids". when having a conversation about steroids this is the first thing critics point to. "Lyle died of steroids so stay away from them"

However IMO this flies in the face of simple numbers abd stats, and also common knowledge. If he died as a direct result from "roids" then where are all these other dead steroid users? Or where are all the men dying from steroid abuse.

The question was did anybody have knowledge or reports about his death. Other than HIM saying it was steroid related.

This is also related to a debate i'm having with some knuckle heads.
