Lowering Blood Pressure

Ok I've done about everything to lower my BP besides Rx drugs.

I took it 6 months ago and it was 140/90

I quite dipping, drinking beer, no supplements at all

I'm currently doing:
2 CLoves garlic a day
45 min cardio day
1h weight training a day
low sodium diet
no junk food
flax/healthy oils

BP now 180/88

It's worthless if you have high BP Rx drugs are about the only thing that will help you. I'm looking to get it down before I start my winter bulk cycle. I do not want the sides that come with BP medicine. :worried:
 
6g taurine/d
800mg magnesium/d
800mg potasium/d
1.5g calcium/d
200mg coQ10/d
 
I'm taking the coQ at high dose also, but that is getting expensive. I'll try adding the other things. Karma to you
 
I have been on blood pressure medication for several years. I too was told the horror stories of the sides....no libido or drive, you sex life is over, you'll sleep all the time, etc. After weighing the pro's and con's, I decided that the sides from the BP med's would be less than the effect of having high BP for an extended period of time.

None of these sides ever appeared for me. The only noticeable effect was that if I squated or bent over for a couple of minutes and stood up quickly, I would feel light headed and dizzy for about 10 seconds. This went away after three weeks. Never had any other side.

If you require treatment, you doc will start you on low dose med's. BP medication is nothing to be apprehensive about....they can save your life! Not today...but maybe someday! Better to play this one safe than to be sorry.

Forgot to mention....during a cycle, I increase the daily dosage of BP med's by 50-100%. I monitor it daily with a cuff and travel kit from the local pharmacy. My winter bulk cycle will be coming up in a few months too....best to have your BP reviewed by your doc before hand.
