i thought people who drive in the snow would use chains on their tires to prevent skidding...

looking at that clip, all you need is an idiot to lose control of his car and all the cars in front will crash into eachother, i would say chains would be safer and will save lives..

Yeah your Right.

It would Be safer.

unfortunately if you're going downhill -- and there's ice, or hasn't been cleared -- there really isn't much you can do if someone's stopped at the bottom.

just one of the downfalls of living in snowland.

ha, okay. were these people intentionally trying to crash into the other cars? because it looks like they were having way too much fun.

Jumping out of your car? wtf?

I saw that on the news recently too. Funny stuff. After the last ice storm we had here, I watched a lady in a Subaru trying to go up the hill by my house. She just kept slamming on the gas thinking that would help. She spent about 20 minutes just flooring it while other cars were going around her. She finally slid back down the hill and turned around and went the other way. I love driving in the snow. Good times.

why did they want to jump out? why risk injury?

I want an explanation behind this video.

What the fuck were those drivers thinking, jumping out of their cars and shit.

LOL.

I remember one winter it was snowing out and all iced over and I tried to gun it to get up a big hill lol. Pretty steep too. I made it about 1/3 of the way up and then just stopped and slowly started skidding backwards. I was a little scared because there was a BUSY 4-way intersection below and I didn't have insurance.

So I steered it into the curb as it was skidding down and then proceeded to literally inch along the curb with my front tire for about 15-20 minutes until I got over the hill.

HAHA.

Driving in the snow is fun. Driving in the snow without chains is even funner haha.

I don't think anyone uses chains anymore... that's old school.

I haven't seen chains in over 20 years LOL.

Definitely old school!

Damn that vid is funny as hell. People in Minny should know how to drive in snow and ice by now, its not as if it doesn't happen there ever!

Jumping out of a car that is sliding on an icy road is the first thing that goes through my mind.

What the hell were those fools thinking????? :insane:

:smash:
