Long water with short water

Ok. I've been trying to figure this out on other forums also, but haven't found the answer. If you were to use a long ester (test e) and you are going to run it with npp would you wait until about week 4 to start the npp and run a kickstart leading up to that?
Running it like that with the kickstart makes more sense to me, but let me know what you guys think
