Is that one of those songs that you turn up if you're by yourself when it comes on the radio, but if another guy's in the car you snort in derision and quickly turn the station? LOL

I respect any type of music, as long as its good. Judging music simply by its genre is absolutely stupid

"Wide Open Spaces", "Goodbye Earl", and "Cowboy Take Me Away" are good songs by the Dixie Chicks.

Still the best country is the old shit, like Hank Williams, Tom T Hall, etc.

Some other 'bangin' (haha) country tracks:
"Ring of Fire" - Johnny Cash
"Hello Darlin" - George Jones
"On the Road Again" - Willie Nelson

For some laughs, there's also a song that combines country and rap, its not really that good but ok I guess:
"Country Rap Tune" - Tow Down

A much better (but definitely much more rap-oriented) rap/country track is "Bad Guys Always Die" - Dr. Dre & Eminem

My new Favorite is Toby Keith's single :
Courtesy of the Red White and Blue

One of the major Networks would not let him sing it live on a show because he has a line in it about putting a boot in your Ass referring to the terrorists..

*American girls and American guys
Will always stand up and salute
Will always recognize
When we see Old Glory flying
There's a lot of men dead
So we can sleep in peace at night
When we lay down our head

My Daddy served in the army
Where he lost his right eye
But he flew a flag out in our yard
Till the day that he died
He wanted my Mother, my Brother,
My Sister and me
To grow up and live happy
In the land of the free

Now this nation that I love
Is falling under attack
A mighty sucker punch came flying in
From somewhere in the back
As soon as we could see clearly
Through our big black eye
Man we lit up your world
Like the Fourth of July

Chorus:
Hey, Uncle Sam put your name
At the top of his list
And the Statue of Liberty
Started shaking her fist
And the eagle will fly
And it's going to be hell
When you hear Mother Freedom
Start ringing her bell
And it will feel like the whole wide world
Is raining down on you
Brought to you courtesy
Of the Red, White and Blue

Oh, justice will be served
And the battle will rage
This big dog will fight
When you rattle his cage
You'll be sorry that you messed
With the U.S. of A.
Cause we'll put a boot in your ass
It's the American way

Definitely a good choice Corn. Lol...I thought I was the only one.

Other good current country songs I'm digging:

"I Wanna Talk About Me" - Toby Keith
"Ten Rounds With Jose Cuervo" - Tracy Byrd
"When You Lie Next To Me" - Kellie Coffey (slow and sappy, but a good voice...play it when you make love to your girl!).

Another one by the Dixie Chicks that has grown on me is their remake of "You Can't Hurry Love".

Lestat,

I have to agree.

All the stories of of the weight loss, the play, and wearing of pajamas.

I have to say he is almost as informative as Spatts.

Oh wait....not even close.........

Pebcak

P.S. For the record....................J/K :D
