Long term use of finasteride/dutasteride

quite interesting and useful to know especially that finasteride reduces dht by 70% and dutasteride by 94%.

I took generic dutasteride (duprost) for 3 months and had to stop due to heart problems

Well , the drug did not work for me as I kept reading. I at one point was taking triple the dosage because I was wanting to keep. I then read a study that stated that multiple dosings has no effect with this drug so at that point I was wasting pills.

At the 3 month mark I started having minor chest pains and at that point I stopped

So it didn't even prevent any hairloss?
Were you taking .5 ed?
Finasteride's the same way, anything over 2.5mg is no more effective than 2.5mg.

Yes , slowed hair loss (I now get it in the center of my head)
and also was to keep testosterone (more gains in the gym)

I'd always go with finasteride over duta as their is more research into Finasteride than dutasteride, plus duta has been shown to have more side effects.

I stopped it a few weeks ago and Im losing hair like a dog in summer shed.

The improvement in sex life has been worth it.
