Long-term T3 Usage?

Alright, here's the deal.

I've always been a little iffy on trying T3, because of any "rebound effect" or long-term consequences that it may have. I've used Clen, ECA stack, Trex, YES etc without any problems, but I realize T3 is a Thyroid hormone, and none of the other supplements I've used are.

I'm blessed with a great metabolism, and don't want to have any lasting/negative effects from T3, such as any change in my metabolism post-usage.

So my question is:

Can someone use T3 at a very low dosage (12.5mcg) say, everyday, for a while, without any possiblity of lasting negative effects?

I've decided if I try it, I want to stay below 20-25mcg a day. In other words, what is the LOWEST possible dosage that could be taken to achieve results (not major, just minor).

I'm also not currently ON, and would not want to lose muscle (if that is possible with T3, hence the interest in the LOW dose).

Also, would I need to taper to prevent any possiblity of a 'rebound' effect?

Thanks in advance for the input!

I believe most pro BBs use T3 for competition for that extra edge. I would asume that it shouldn't be used for too long. If you don't compete, then there is no point in messing with your thyroid. I do take thyroid by prescription (Synthroid). I do now that T3 is a very powerful compund that can have negative effects even to the cardiovascular system. I learned the hard way, long story.

As long as you keep it low 12.5 mg's per day and take a thyroid supplement, you should be fine.
If you want to use a higher amount, pyramid up and then back down to avoid a rebound effect.

would you vary the duration of taper down based on T3 dosage? it would seem to make sense that the higher the dosage, the longer it's gonna take to taper down.

For instance (knowing we are talking about two completley different animals here) on a 2 week clen cycle, someone would taper down the last couple days. But it would make sense that it would take a longer period of time to taper off the T3.

Ive used t3 before for 4 months at a time and my Thyroid returned to normal in about 4 weeks, Ive read countless studies and also Articles by Anthony Roberts on how long term thyroid use is always reversable and permanent damage is just another scare...Although Im sure it is possible, but like I said ive used some long cycles of T3 at 100mcg ed with 300mcg of t4 and all goes back to normal with me,,,,I do taper up and down..

So would I notice an extra "edge" if I kept it around 20mcg a day?

Also, how long would it take to notice any effects, and could I take it for 3 months straight at that dosage with it still being effective? And would I need to taper from such a low dosage? If so, how would that be done?

Sorry for the 8 million questions, but I just want as much input as possible. Thanks again.

12.5 mcgs/day will do nothing. You have to take at least 25 mcgs/day and preferrably 50. You can use T3 safely for a long period of time as long as you taper slowly.

I'd say you would be ok at that low of a dose but be careful anyway, because as you know certain people are going to act different to different things

Why do you say anything less than 25-50mcg will do nothing?

Remember, I'm not on right now, and want to lose as little (preferably next to none) muscle at all.

if you fo lose anything it will be so little you probably won't notice. I'm on 100mcg right now and have not lost any considerable LBM. A good way to gage it as well, is if you start losing strength. you should be fine on 50mcg ED

As stated above, it would be so mild that you probably wouldn't notice anything. I understand that you don't want to lose muscle. I don't think anybody does.
