Long Creatine Use = pain?

alright well on the right side just under the ribs, along the lower part of the ribs, arround the liver/right kidney location, i have just kinda had a side ache for a few days, Ive never taken a cycle but ive been on creatine for about 3 1/2 months with only about a 1 week break while on it. Im just wondering if this would have anything to do with it? should i be taking more breaks? I plan on cutting it all off after track season is over in about 2-3 weeks. Could the creatine be causing the problem? any help is appreciated, thanks!

I haven't seen any evidence of extended creatine use causing adverse effects, but there is always the possibility of sensitivity in certain users to ANY compound. If the pain persists, drop it,and/or have some bloodwork ran.

exactly, like HUCK said. Creatine is a very benign compond. Most users dont have any type of adverse reactions. Its not to say that someone like yourself may be hypersensitive to supplementation.

The area of pain you describe is indicative of liver or gallbladder problems. Or even pancreatic problems. However I dont think creatine supplementation would cause pain originating from any of the above.

other things to consider: age, other supps., diet, pain is it intermitent or continous? does it radiate or localized?

Like HUCK said, it would be a good idea to get a CBC done with particular attention to your AST, ALT, BUN and creatinine levels.

Ive been using Creatine for almost a solid year now, and I'm not gonna drop it till contest time. No breaks and I feel perfectly fine. I don't think Creatine is causing your pain, (it may be, but I have seen NO evidence to suggest that it will). Any other thoughts of what it is?? Are you well hydrated??
