I guess you don't like the Catholic Church that much or are you like me and just aren't big on Judaism/Christianity/Islam?
I think the Catholic Church sucks. They pray to the Virgin Mother and kneel and pray before statues of Jesus when it clearly states in the bible:
"Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth"
and
"Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am the LORD your God."
In fact, they are praying before a statue of Jesus on the cross. This image clearly puts forth the message that Jesus is dead when it states in the bible that he is not dead, but alive.
Catholics even have something called "Marian Woship", which is finding the path to Jesus through his mother Mary. WTF?! I seem to recall someone in the bible saying:
"I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
Oh, yeah. That was Jesus. How did Mary come into the picture and, more specifically, how did people start worshipping her?
I went into a Catholic church one time and I saw the people praying in front of statues and it hit me like a sledgehammer. I asked my girlfriend (who is German Catholic) why people were praying in front of statues and she didn't know. I asked her if she had ever read the bible and she got offended until I explained my thoughts on the situation. Do any Catholics even think about this stuff?
Of course, most religions have their own failing points but none seem as blatant as the ones put forward by Catholicism.
