Liver Question

I am a 5'6, 160 pound, 32 year old with Crohn's disease. I was admitted to hospital a few days ago due to a flare up (intestitnal blockage problem due to scar tissue/adhesions from a Crohn's surgery 6 years ago) Been eating very clean with about 260 grams protien/day + 300 - 400 carbs from mostly oatmeal, brown bread and sweet potato. Also enough healthy fats from Fish Oils. I have just resumed weightlifting again since I had a gynecomastia surgery about a month ago.

Anyhow, I get my blood checked as per usual when in Emerg and the liver values came back pretty high. Well the idiot doctor I happened to get that night just assumes I have been drinking up a storm recentley and scolds me to "stop drinking so heavily". Meanwhile I only had 2 glassess of red wine on New Year's Eve which was about 4 days prior to my blood test. Could that little amount of booze effect you so drastically 4 days later?

I have not been on any streroid cycles of any kind (anabolic androgenic steroids OR immuno-suppresives for Crohn's) since October.

The only thing that has changed for me within the past 3 months is the following:

1) Have been on 1 Percosette daily for pain management as I wait for a surgery to correct this blockage. (325 mg acedeminophen/5 mg oxycodone)

2) Been taking 1 immovane (sleep medication) a night. (Sleeping is difficult with these cramps)

3) Since I just started weights again I have added a few OTC supps... Been using Animal Pak now as a multi + Unleashed + Cell Mass. That's it.

My guess is the percosettes but it is really bizzare as this same Emergency Doctor PRESCRIBED more of them to me and did not even address the bowel issue. He kept insiting I am a big drinker and insinuated I was lying. That's what can happen when you go to Emergency Rooms tho and not your regular trusted doc.

So girls and boys, any thoughts on what's causing these inflated liver reading??

Thanks.

Elevated liver enzymes is a sign that toxins are not being excreted properly.
You need to detox your liver to get the enzymes back to normal.
Drinking any alcohol while on meds will pollute the liver big time.

Merci beaucoup blueta2. :)

I will start a liver detox.

Do you think the OTC supplements I am taking will hinder my detox?

All meds are metabolized via the liver, so yes.

I am in liver detox now (for an illness as well) and I'm veggie juicing (with beets and carrots), detox baths. I also started homeopathic drops called UNDA drops, they detox the liver naturally. And of course I also take Milk Thistle.
