...anyone know I web-site where I can find what my Federal Gs rating would be??

Thanks in advance.

Do you mean the Generel Service Ratings for Job Classes?

I think....they have a chart that classifies you to a "GS" rating according to education and background, etc..

$19,000 - $25,000 STUDENT TRAINEE AND TECHNICIAN POSITIONS. Six months of specialized experience for technician or two years of education beyond high school (includes GS-4)

$22,000 - $39,000 ENTRY-LEVEL AND TECHNICIAN POSITIONS. Three years of general experience or at least one year of specialized experience or a bachelor's degree (includes GS-5 through GS-8)

$33,000 - $62,000 One or more years responsible and independent experience related to the job or a Masters or higher degree (includes GS-9 through 12)

$57,000 - $88,000 One or more years highly responsible and independent experience directly related to the job to be filled (includes GS-13 to GS-14)

$79,000 & above More than one year of highly responsible and independent experience directly related to the job to be filled, frequently requires supervisory or managerial skills

wodin - good deal...what would a BS and 11 years of experience fall under knowing that I was resoponsible for EVERYTHING that happened for the last 5?

wow.....that is WAYYY more than I am making at the moment - I could live with a 14 or so....

I am going by what Wodin posted. I don't know anything specific about your background or education. But if you're correct on your experience and management abilities and responsibilities, then I don't see a problem with you getting that high.

Is there a job you have in mind that is advertised on OPM? Something local to ATL? If you have more questions, PM me if you like, I MIGHT be able to help.

The pay ranges are criteria are from Jobusa.com that ttlpkg posted.
