list your heaviest songs

Since I've already worn out F/F songs, I'm forcing myself to choose
other bands.

70's:
Symptom Of The Universe- Black Sabbath
Sabbath Bloody Sabbath- Black Sabbath

80's:
The Thing That Should Not Be- Metallica
Through The Eyes of Terror- Bolt Thrower
Twilight Symphony- King Diamond

90's:
Day of Suffering- Morbid Angel
Brujerismo- Brujeria
Unleashed (Upon Mankind)- Bolt Thrower

And of course my F/F list:

Dead Man Walking
Full Metal Contact
Edgecrusher
Securitron
Self Bias Resistor
Scapegoat

ha ha. you and fear factory. I got to admit, the lead singer does have a gnarly ass voice, but I prefer barney(from napalm) because he doesn't try to sing...

depends what you mean by heavy. I mean death metal is considerably "heavier" than allot of things but I personally dont like it.
For me- this is heavy:
Slipknot-snap...actually just about any slipknot is heavy as fuck.
Soulfly-jump the fuck up...soulfly rocks!
Helmet-lots of heavy songs.
Believe it or not I consider Dieselboy to be pretty heavy even though it's drum n bass- it is like the heavy techno if you will.
36 crazyfists- been into them lately- pretty hardcore.
my own band is pretty heavy- on the Helmet,Deftones,Filter(although not heavy I dig them) tip.

Hey People's Champ- you know any bass players in SD? I need someone to record with me soon.

oh no you didn't mention Dieselboy!!! did you see him at E st a couple of months ago for the planet of the drums tour? tore shit up. he is heavy. raw. I luvs me dnb. and the hunnies

Hatebreed - Empty Promises (basically anything by them)
Vision of Disorder - Formula For Failure
Slayer - War Ensemble
Earth Crisis - Broken Foundation
The Haunted - Bury Your Dead
Refused - Coup D'Etat
Entombed - Living Dead
Carcass - Impropagation
At The Gates - Blinded by Fear

I could name a buch more. Basically any song by any of the above bands is heavy as hell.

I always liked Barney's vocals also. I thought Willett from Bolt Thrower had the best of them all though. His vocals esp on Realm Of Chaos & WarMaster just had such an intimidating sound to them. We had a nice vocal shifter in our basement recording setup, could get some good Glen Benton type vocals out of it. We
did a nasty remake of Born For Burning by Bathory.

Barney Greenway is a good vocalist as is Carl Willets. Napalm Death and Bolt Thrower are two great bands. Also along those lines is Benediction. Anyone heard of them? Their vocalist Dave Ingram sounds a lot like Barney IMO.

yes, yes TPC wha gwan?

I'll drop some hard bass and drum and jungle tunes:

::jungle::

SK-1 and Soundmurderer - Limb by Limb rmx (interludes aren't hard but when the drums drop, danger!)

Soundmurderer - Bad Sound (fucking heavy ass bass and mash-up drums bidness!!! don't miss it)

Splash - Babylon
Krinjah - ???

::bass and drum::

Most of the new DnB I've been listening isn't as hard as say stuff from last year... so I'll re-hash that list.

Dylan - Retribution
Dylan - Menatasm
Digital - Waterhouse Dub (A-Sides rmx)
Kemal and Rob Data - Fucking Hostile
Concord Dawn - Morning Light (the part with the reese bassline in the front is heavy shit)
The Spirit - Solitaire

etc...

no more heavy dnb for me for now... summer time tunes. till winter comes then it's all angry again.

1ne.

Someone needs to make me up a sweet DnB mix and send it my way.....I have a hard time finding much good stuff on Limewire.

charvelle-totally forgot about bolt thrower. that dude sounded like a goddamn subwoofer@40hz.

Birg red cat-what dnb mixes do you have? or like?

BigD-haven't seen you in here in a while, waddup mang? I am totally digging progression sessions 7. well, almost, very uplifting, in which case is a little wierd coming from the dynamic duo(from what I have heard). fucking hostile owns from kemal and rob data/konflict( ). still making tunes? kick down a link

For DnB/Jungle I have Mickey Finn,Aphrodite,Dieselboy(3-4 of his CD's),allot of Roni Size,LTJ Bukem(I like ambient DnB allot),Urban Jungle- stuff like that. I am looking for more along the lines of Technical Itch w/Dieselboy......and you never answered my question- you know any bass players?

more than enough mixes to keep ya busy for a month. All the mixes on there are good. but some are better than others...

Thanks.....I just burned a couple mixes-sweeeeet! I will let you know when I finish up my DnB I am working on. It is pretty bad ass.

At the gates is the heaviest stuff that you can play on systems and stuff that still sounds good. Slaughter of the soul is one of my favorite albums..and one of the best metal albums of all time IMO.

Machine Head - Davidian
Machine Head - Take My Scars

I think the last minute of Davidian may be the heaviest riff ever recorded.
