Bromo is anti-prolactin not anti-progesterone, but....
I have had at least one person tell me that bromo worked great for them with respect to restoring sex drive depressed from Deca. I have also seen some suggest that gyno from Deca is a prolactin problem not a progesterone thing.
I am going to take 2.5mg of bromo 1.25 2x per day when I start my Deca.
I would love to hear more theories on this.
I have also heard good things about RU486 a real anti-progesterone (and its prevention of Deca sides, it seems to be very horrible side-effect wise).
So RU486 attacking the progesterone like effects of Deca is reported to work, but gyno is caused by ….
From Macrophage69alpha:
“there are 4 main culprits often working in conjunction (5 if you count thryoid.. though that likely is a mediator of the others)
progestin (which beleive it or not is NOT progesterone)
oestrogen(both natural and synthetic.. ie DDT, plastic polymers, etc)
prolactin (stimulates glandular growth + a puffyness agent)
igf-1 (growth factor)
So if Deca being progesterone like leads to prolactin (which it seems it does based on the libdo example above) then it is likely that bromo is the cure for Deca gyno.
If Deca being progerterone like leads to progetstin and cause gyno (in addition to the prolactin) then bromo will only remove the prolactin and gyno is still possible.
So what is the answer????
