Hi,

Before anyone jumps down my throat, yes I have tried to google this stuff to no avail. Could someone help me with the significance of :

Propinate

Cypionate

Decanoate

Laurate

Citrate

Acetate

I assume these are the ways certain products are synthesized, but why does it matter to ME and YOU, the users?

Thank you for all your help you guys rock.

These are the esters to which drugs are bound. Think of the active drug and the ester as a car (ester) and a driver (drug). The ester carries the drug to work. Just like a ferrari is a better ride than a pinto, some esters have different delivery properties more advantageous to one situation or another. Basically, one important characteristic of the ester, for example, is the time of delivery of active drug from the ester. In other words, some cars are slower than others.

Propionate is 1-3 days, so injections are frequent with this ester. But the drug also clears quickly. For example, many prefer testosterone propionate because its easier to clear your body and water retention is less . . .

enanthate/cypionate are 10-14 days Very popular are test enanthate and trenbolone enanthate, e.g. Injections can be once or twice a week, which is nice.

Decanoate esters are like 20-30 days. This means it takes forever for your body to clear and recovery can be difficult. But it's good for long term bulk cycles, like with nandrolone decanoate (deca)

Acetate is 3days, popular as trenbolone acetate.

Hope this helps. Googling steroid esters will help you find the full scientific information.
