Lindsay Lohan suffered first degree burns when she fell asleep in the sun.
The stunning 17-year-old actress had to be rushed to hospital to receive emergency medical treatment after she was badly sunburnt.
She revealed to Britain's Observer Magazine: "I was in Cancun, Mexico to do a TV show and had a day off. I lay out in the sun under an umbrella. I fell asleep, but I wasn't too worried because I thought I was covered.
"But the sun shifted and it started hitting me. So when I woke up I could barely move. I got second degree burns on my stomach and legs and first degree burns on my face. It was terrible."
Lindsay was so upset at her ordeal that she phoned her mother in tears.
She confessed: "I was hysterical - because my mom was in New York with all the family. I was on the phone crying, 'I need you, Mom!'"
